Adelaide Park Lands Trail

Distance and Duration: 18 km loop, 4 to 5 hours
This trail takes you through the lush Adelaide Park Lands, circling the city’s edge. The walk is a great way to explore the green spaces around Adelaide while enjoying views of the city. The trail is well-marked and passes through various parks, gardens, and cultural landmarks. The terrain is mostly flat with some gentle inclines, making it accessible for most walkers.
Morialta Falls

River Torrens Linear Park Trail

Waterfall Gully to Cleland Conservation Park

The Waterfall Gully to Mount Lofty Summit trail is one of Adelaide's most iconic walks. Starting at Waterfall Gully, the trail ascends steeply through the Cleland Conservation Park, leading to the summit of Mount Lofty. The walk is challenging, with a consistent uphill climb, but the reward at the top is worth it: panoramic views over Adelaide, the coastline, and beyond. The trail is well-maintained but can be quite busy, especially on weekends.
Belair National Park

Distance and Duration: 2 km (Lorikeet Loop) to 12 km (Adventure Loop), 30 minutes to 4 hours
Belair National Park is one of South Australia’s oldest parks, offering a range of trails through native bushland, past historic sites, and along tranquil lakes. The Lorikeet Loop is an easy 2 km walk, ideal for families and beginners. For a more extended adventure, the Adventure Loop is a 12 km trail that takes you deeper into the park, with varied terrain including some steep sections. The park is also a haven for wildlife, so keep an eye out for kangaroos and koalas.
